National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims

The Day of Remembrance is designed to honor the memories of homicide victims and recognize the impact of violence on survivors.

Scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at Plaza Park in Oxnard, Fifth and B streets, the ceremony will include a dove release, music, guest speakers, a candle lighting, and a wall featuring photos and stories of murder victims and others who have lost their lives to violence.

The deadline to submit stories and photos is Sept. 12.

National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims is Sept. 25.
