An Introduction

Ventura County's Unsolved Crimes will be a blog to research unsolved crimes in the hopes of solving them.

It was started as a way to complement 805 Vigilantes, where those looking to find information on a certain crime can come to this blog and find all the relevant information pertaining to that crime.  It is a need that came along as we were trying to find information on a case and there was no one place to find it.

There are currently 120 unsolved crimes that I was able to find, and finding justice for even one would make this project worthwhile.

Here is a list of current unsolved crimes that we will be investigating, and because of the importance of time, we will work from the most recent cases, although this list is from ascending order:

This refers to your case #105:
Francisco Torres Gonzales, DOB 02-13-1947. (There is no "case file" on your site.)
I have been told that this individual died as the result of a gunshot to the back, by a young man named Ruben, during a police-involved shooting incident. (If so, that would be a solved case, would it not?)
Any way to confirm this info? Any suggestions?

Hi...I am a relative to one of the 2002 murder victims and was an actual witness to the cruel act which ultimately led to "Mimi's" death... I know I am two years late (just found this site today) but thank you for this blog!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello interesting to me that most of the last names are Hispanic. I am most concerned about #86 Daniel Mora. He is my stepson. Thank you for researching and try. Maybe try a pod cast. Anyway I have a belief as to whom killed Daniel Mora.
